Photo Alchemy Course Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Payment

All places must be paid in full at the time of booking. Payments are processed securely via Square, and bookings are confirmed once payment has been successfully received. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. Course Numbers

This course will only run if fully booked. If the course does not go ahead, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative date.

3. Cancellations by Participants

If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us as soon as possible.

  • More than 14 days before the course start date: a full refund will be issued.
  • 14 days or fewer before the course start date: refunds are not normally available.
  • You may transfer your place to another person with prior notice, provided they meet the course requirements.

Refunds, where applicable, will be processed via Square using the original payment method.

4. Cancellations by the Organisers

In the unlikely event that the course is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (including illness, venue issues, or insufficient bookings), participants will be offered a full refund or the option to rebook on a future date. We cannot accept liability for travel, accommodation, or other associated costs.

5. Course Requirements

Participants should bring developed black & white 35mm negatives for the darkroom printing session. Cameras can be provided, or participants may bring their own 35mm SLR camera.

6. Health & Safety

Participants must follow all health and safety instructions, particularly when working in the darkroom and handling photographic chemicals. Safety guidance will be provided on the day. Failure to follow instructions may result in removal from the course without refund.

7. Personal Property

While reasonable care is taken, the organisers cannot accept responsibility for loss of or damage to personal equipment or personal belongings brought to the course.

8. Accessibility

If you have any access requirements or health considerations, please contact us in advance so we can discuss how best to support you.

9. Photography During the Course

Photographs or short video clips may be taken during the course for documentation or promotional purposes. Please inform us in advance if you do not wish to appear in any images.

10. Changes to the Course

We reserve the right to make minor changes to course content, tutors, or structure where necessary, provided this does not significantly alter the learning outcomes.

We take your privacy seriously and process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

  • We collect only the personal information necessary to process your booking and communicate with you about the course (such as name, email address, and booking details).
  • Payments are handled securely by Square, which processes payment data in accordance with its own privacy and security policies. We do not store card details.
  • Your personal data will not be shared with third parties except where required to deliver the service or meet legal obligations.
  • We will retain your data only for as long as necessary for administrative, legal, or accounting purposes.
  • You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.
